Bio: Cindy Burrill is a creative nonfiction writer, who hopes to provide encouragement to those who may be struggling with personal hardships, trials and tribulations. Through multiple challenges herself including divorce, single parenting, navigating the web of singleness during midlife, and a decade of parenting an adult child suffering from an eating disorder, Cindy has learned that everything happens for a reason; and sometimes the only way to truly find yourself, is to acknowledge just how lost you are. Her examples of adversity will prove that it’s only by surviving the pain of the past that you can find joy and contentment in the present, and hope for the future. Cindy’s life long love of learning inspired her to return to school in her late forties to pursue her degree in creative writing. She works as a Project Coordinator for the Anchorage Museum by day, while juggling the responsibilities of being a full-time student and aspiring writer by night. Cindy recently became a grandmother to three beautiful babies, and now fills every available moment doting on her grandchildren, while sipping copious amounts of her favorite coffee. During her very limited free time, she enjoys yoga, reading, and knitting.
